I did this piece and the two accompanying in the series for a show I entitled Almost Spring. The show was scheduled for March and so I did this series from imagination. As I painted the circular forms I saw hollyhocks. As the work progressed they informed me as to what time of day they were depicting. My framing is always archival. The frame on this painting is gold metal.
