I painted this on location while traveling in Spearfish Canyon South Dakota. I find the challenge of painting moving water to be never ending. Retaining the pigments freshness while making sure I place those dark values in just the right places to create form and volume is quite the balancing act. I believe I succeeded here.
My framing is always archival. The frame is brushed gold metal.
