I have used these green glass cups as subject matter a great deal. The cups and the green shadows they cast are tremendously fun to paint. I used yupo as my painting surface. Yupo paper has a slick- plastic like surface. Painting this way is extremely challenging. Watercolor does not act like watercolor on it. The pigment sits on the surface and so dark darks are achieved easily but the paint takes incredibly long to dry!  I am excited about the bright- almost neon quality of the palette. My framing is always archival. The frame I used on this piece is a unique one. It is ridged white metal with a wide profile. I am always extremely particular about my frame choices and I believe this frame suits the work perfectly.
