Devil's Lake State Park, WI is a very special destination. Glaciers damned up in the Baraboo Ridge and the ensuing melt  created its interesting topography and spring fed lake. Many come here to hike and climb, swim, boat or fish.  I set up on the pier on the south side of the park to do this painting. My aim was to capture the brilliant fall foliage against the dramatic sky. My framing is always archival.  The frame on this piece is gold metal.
