ART AS I SEE IT
I live and work in a rural area just west of Madison, Wisconsin. Our piece of land falls within the Driftless or Unglaciated section of southwestern Wisconsin. Its beauty is singular and very sweet.

Being surrounded by this natural beauty and seeing the constant changes through the seasons inspires me to view all my subjects with a fresh eye. Seeing how each season has an impact on the landscape transforming it into a completely unique view informs my approach to its interpretation.

My artwork comes from my emotional and visual response to my surroundings while traveling as well. I am never without my supplies for art making.

I am finding that with countless sketches and paintings behind me- I am venturing forward in working from imagination in watercolor, oil and cut paper collage. This highlights just one of the reasons I am so passionate about art. I am never "done" and I will never "arrive." Creativity is limitless.

My work is included in art collections both private and corporate- nationally and internationally.

Commissions
This commissioned painting is of a view from the Ben Lomond Trail in Queenstown, New Zealand. The view took my client's breath away and I strove to capture that feeling for them by composing the art in a way that showcased the beauty of the expanse going out to the ocean and sky.

My clients were thrilled with the result.
Please contact me if you have a special memory that you would like turned into a piece of art.
