Painting on location is often an adventure. As I was painting here I had all sort of activity around me- swimmers and their dogs were prevalent! Even though I was directly in front of the subject matter I didn't let that dictate my response. I exaggerated the colors and their effects- I responded on a very emotional level. My aim is often to get the feel of a situation rather duplicating something on paper.
My framing is always archival. The frame on this painting is brushed gold metal.
